TEACHER WORKSHOP (Free)

Tumbleweeds Film Festival—in partnership with Adobe Youth Voices and SHIFT—present a FREE, intensive 3-hour workshop for Middle and High School teachers to learn the essentials of how to integrate digital media as a tool in the classroom. Workshop is FREE to all registrants. All participants are asked to bring their own laptop computer if possible. Limited number of computers available for those who do not have access to a laptop.
This introductory workshop will show educators how to design breakthrough media arts experiences that reignite a young person’s passion for learning. As part of the workshop, instructors from Salt Lake City’s SHIFT organization will demonstrate how to start the filmmaking process in the classroom, and will share compelling films produced by students of teachers who have participated in Adobe Youth Voices training workshops.
In addition to the workshop, participating educators will receive a free SHIFT curriculum guide and gain access to Adobe Youth Voices extensive online instructional resources.
