Origins of Animation

Learning Objective: Students will be able to define and understand the process of animating a scene by creating 2-3 of the first animation toys – thaumatrope, flipbook, and zoetrope.

This Learn and Go box will guide students as they analyze and produce optical illusion via animation toys. They will Think about movement and Timing as they create their own short animated scenes that tie into the making of current animated films.
