New SLC Screening Policies

UtFC_NewSeatingPolicy_Sonita

In an effort to provide a better movie-going experience and ensure the safety of all patrons, Utah Film Center staff and our venue partners have developed and improved seating policies for all of our Salt Lake City film screenings.

Beginning September 27, 2016 please expect the following:

  1. Doors to all Utah Film Center Salt Lake City screening events will not open to the general public until 6:30 pm.
  2. Utah Film Center members will gain priority access and seating at ALL evening Salt Lake City film screenings beginning at 6:15 pm. The members-only priority access line will be located in the lobbies of all venues. To become a Utah Film Center member for as little as $60 a year ($5/month) click here. Each Utah Film Center member is permitted to bring one guest with them.
  3. At capacity screenings, all guests must be in their seats 15 minutes prior to the film start time. Any patrons saving seats will be asked to relinquish their seats to accommodate guests already present and ready to be seated.
  4. Standing or sitting on the floor in theaters to watch Utah Film Center films is no longer permitted at any venues due to fire code restrictions. Additional seating cannot be added. Once every existing seat is full, the screening will be at capacity.

Note: Two Utah Film Center representatives will be present at each screening to assist patrons and answer questions about the new policies.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we implement these new policies. And as always, we appreciate your support of our mission to inspire and engage diverse audiences to initiate conversation and community building through curated film exhibition, educational programs, and artist support!
