Utah Film Center Expands Free Film in Utah County

Utah Valley University’s Fulton Library

In order to expand our programming, reach, and venue capacity in Utah County, Utah Film Center will discontinue our Tumbleweeds year-round screenings at the Orem Public Library and launch a new year-round series of free film screenings at Utah Valley University starting in January 2018. We are appreciative to the Orem Public Library for their wonderful partnership in sharing our Tumbleweeds kids programming to Orem families over the past 6 years.

We are thrilled for the new opportunity to partner with UVU’s Film Studies & Digital Cinema Production Programs to feature cutting-edge documentaries and dramatic films that Utah Valley would otherwise not have access to.  This free monthly series will be open to the public and held on UVU’s campus at the Fulton Library Lecture Hall. Our upcoming screenings at this new location will be James Redford’s Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution on January 23rd, Street Fighting Men featuring a post-film Q&A with director Andrew James on February 27th, and Jennifer Brea’s Unrest on April 24th (the film is TBA for March 2018).

Please note: parking for UVU screenings is available at the Visitor Parking Garage, which is located just off the UVU Fulton Library Auditorium (but parking is free on campus in the evenings).

We are also seeking a student intern to help us establish this new series at UVU! Click here to learn more and apply for our internship opening.
