Storytelling takes many forms–in books, poems, video games, plays, and movies. We show you how to tell a story for a movie, and how to write a movie yourself! This course will teach you all the basics of storytelling in the movies, and the tools and techniques to write a story for the screen. This is a great workshop for new ways to teach literature and storytelling!
Each one-hour workshop is a combination of lectures and hands-on activities. It is recommended no more than one class per reservation to get the full benefits of a workshop.
If you want your entire grade level to participate in a workshop or you have any questions about the workshops, dates, and times they are available, please contact the Education department at edu@utahfilmcenter.org.
For school districts not listed, in-person workshop requests may be possible to arrange in May 2023 depending on travel distance and if multiple workshops are booked for the day.
