The alumni cast of a space opera cult television series have to play their roles as the real thing in an interstellar conflict. Whisked away from a promotional appearance by aliens who think the television series is a documentary, the cast begins a mission to defend both Earth and the alien race from a reptilian warlord. The film includs scenes filmed at Goblin Valley State Park in Utah and is both a comedic parody and homage to science fiction.
