Teacher Professional Development

A two-day session of Utah Film Center Media Education’s Teacher Professional Development Program.

Utah Film Center Teacher Professional Development offers immersive, high-quality courses for educators. All training is comprehensive, based on Utah Core Standards, and supports the integration of the filmmaking process into educational settings. Through workshops and instructional materials, educators learn how to teach the creation of documentaries, public service announcements (PSAs), instructional videos, personal narratives, and other short film projects with their students. UTFC’s educator training strengthens teacher practices, increases student achievement, and develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Teachers can receive USBE credits, re-licensure hours, hours toward an Educational Technology Endorsement, or a Media Arts Endorsement by completing our Filmmaking in the Classroom professional development.
