Utah Film Center Screening Policies

In-Person Indoor Free Screenings

  • TICKETS Tickets are required for in-person indoor screenings and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • The number of tickets available per film may vary.
    • Your ticket does not guarantee admittance to the film. If you check-in at the venue less than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time you may be required to join the waitlist line.
    • If you requested a ticket to a screening and cannot attend we ask that you email us at [email protected] with your name and order number that you are unable to attend. This will allow us to add your ticket back to the public allotment.
  • WAITLIST In-person screenings will have a waitlist for patrons who were not able to secure a ticket online.
    • To ensure as many waitlist patrons get in,
      • All ticketed guests must be in their seats 5 minutes prior to the film start time.
        • Any patrons saving seats past this time will be asked to relinquish their seats to accommodate guests already present and ready to be seated.
  • OTHER DETAILS
    • All photography, videography, and audio recordings are strictly prohibited during the film.
    • We reserve the right to deny tickets and/or entry and the right to ask attendees to leave.
    • Standing or sitting on the floor, or in the aisles, is not permitted at any venues due to fire code restrictions. Additional seating cannot be added. Once every existing seat is filled, the screening has reached capacity and the doors will be closed.
    • If you arrive after the film has begun, a Utah Film Center staff member can assist in identifying empty seats.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we implement these policies. We constantly seek to make your movie going experience an amazing one! And as always, we appreciate your support of our mission to inspire and engage diverse audiences to initiate conversation and community building through curated film exhibition, educational programs, and artist support! These screening policies pertain to our free year-round programming, and may not pertain to our annual Damn These Heels Queer Film Festival and Tumbleweeds Film Festival For Kids.
