Jobs at Utah Film Center

Marketing Director

Position Overview

Utah Film Center is looking for a natural-born storyteller to lead our brand. The Marketing Director provides strategic direction, leadership, and execution across all organizational marketing initiatives. In a fast-paced, high-energy environment, this role is for a results-driven leader who brings enthusiasm, initiative, and focus to achieving measurable audience growth, revenue targets, and national visibility. As our footprint expands, the Director will help to crystallize our value proposition and bring that story to life across every platform through a consistent brand voice.

The Marketing Director will lead digital storytelling through dynamic video and multimedia content. A core priority of this role is internal collaboration: the Director works closely with program staff, builds trust, and serves as an engaged partner to support their goals. Leading an internal team and managing external contractors, the Director oversees all marketing, branding, and video/digital promotions for film exhibitions, the Artist Foundry, and K-12 media education.

This is a full-time, salaried position based in Salt Lake City at our state-of-the-art new location in the historic Marmalade District. Standard working hours are 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required for evening and weekend events such as festivals, premieres, and community screenings. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Marketing Director serves as a key executive partner, working collaboratively with all department heads to drive organizational strategy and dynamic brand growth.
