D.J. is a filmmaker, illustrator, writer, and creative producer from LA with over 20 years of experience supporting independent artists as well as working at most of the major studios. Recently he was a post production associate producer on hit shows including Yellowstone and Schmigadoon and also produced a controversial feature documentary tied to the MeToo movement.

D.J. also served 5 years as the thesis finance coordinator at the American Film Institute, where he managed the financial lifecycle of more than 120 thesis productions – overseeing donor contributions, production budgets, disbursements, and cross-departmental workflows with precision and care.

Attending Ringling College of Art and Design and Walden University, D.J. studied art and psychology. The through-line of his career has always been people – building relationships with artists, supporting creative work that might not otherwise find a home, and designing systems that serve communities rather than just organizations. As a maker who has navigated the independent landscape firsthand, D.J. understands what fiscal sponsorship means not just administratively, but personally, and loves championing fellow artists.
